Very tasty beef with a perfect fat content for flavoursome mince based dishes.
We have ordered on three occasions from M&W. The 6 week matured rib roast was exceptional! We had never appreciated the flavour acquired by dry curing. We then had the venison Chateaubriand which was succulent and full of flavour. We’ve just ordered black pudding, sausages and a venison haggis for Burns night. Both black pudding and haggis were exceptionally meaty and not greasy as can so commonly be found. Only drawback was that having ordered the venison haggis, we received the chieftain which didn’t contain any venison. We needed it for that night, so didn’t return, but thought we should mention here. Overall though, really great meat - we shall be ordering again!
We had 1 ribeye and 2 fillets last night, fillets were 10 out of 10, up there with the best I’ve ever tasted. Ribeye was less tasty, but easily 8/10, I had perhaps crowded the pan with the thicker fillets by the time the ribeye went in so it wasn’t as browned on the outside. Will order again. Thanks
We loved the haggis, but were disappointed with the amount of white polystyrene, which is not recyclable, used in the packaging. There are many green alternatives available, like wool, that are commonly used by butchers offering delivery. Please consider changing.
